first it was crisis then Zero hour. then superman (dont know the number). then the Johns Crisis. then the Morrison Crisis.
now finally we have the DIDIO CRISIS. man how many times do we need to change things? am i the only one who believes in consistancy over continuity?

you know that in the end this will not stick. dc will revert to the old numbers and most of the changes will stay.
this is all part of the flashpoint cross over. like DC reborn.

i admit. i will follow my favorite creators on the books i like. but 52 new books?

It makes sense to do the lot in 1 go rather than a trickle effect like Marvel's been doing.

& reboots/retcons happen all the time.

I'm actually kinda looking forward to it now.

It could be a great thing.
Nerds just like to bitch about change.

I think that big changes are always going to be bitched about. It doesn't matter if they end up better (Nolan's batman movies) or worse (star wars Sad ), the biggest geeks are gonna complain. The explanation they eventually will give for this is gonna be dumb but I bet the stories from these new number ones are going to be cool. Most at least are going to be just as good as before. Sure, it's sad about Batman but what else is really going to be worse? Do Clark and Lois Have to be married or is her not knowing that he's Superman a recipe for better stories? I'm excited for what can be done now that writers can write the spirit of characters without worrying about contradicting something before (for a while anyway).

Starting to ramble so I'll stop but I'm going to try and stay positive on this one.

That was the idea behind the Superman reboot of the 80's & the Ultimate comics. Inevitably you create a whole new continuity that needs to be explained to new readers anyway... (and new writers...)

I'm guessing she'll get some kinda cure. Bruce got his back broken & fixed in continuity so it's not too far fetched to think her time as Oracle will remain. Same with Dick as Batman, pretty sure that'll remain canon.

yeah the thing is though, there's a lot of sentiment there with gordon in that wheelchair. Especially with the population of the fanbase that are in wheel chairs. I can sort of understand their concern with it. However, it seems that seem fanbase are also fans of Gail Simone, and they seem to be rather fine with her writing it, from what i read in their blogs and what not so far.

Maybe if we started one of thos online petitions, and got enough sigs, we could convince DC to make an "Elseworlds" on-going of Secret Six......I'm serious, this book is too awesome to die.....
