Yeah he has a pretty weird origin and needs someplace other than the JLA to really find his feet I think.

Tornado belongs in the JLA its just that every writer pretends to have a new angle on the character but it always ends up the same him being some sad sack motherfucker which makes him come off lame to new readers

You know I would love a Red Tornado story where he DOESN'T get destroyed.
