Yet, another obvious reference in Cable to the fact that the Messiah Baby may either be the current repository for the Phoenix and, perhaps, even a Grey.

I'm pretty sure you're right. I think they said that it IS NOT Jean. When I read MC I read it as the baby being the woman who takes baby Cable into the future to cure him (though nobody else seemed to get that from the story). This still seems completely possible to me .

I'm pretty sure you're right. I think they said that it IS NOT Jean. When I read MC I read it as the baby being the woman who takes baby Cable into the future to cure him (though nobody else seemed to get that from the story). This still seems completely possible to me .

Maybe what they meant by, it's not Jean, is that it has her physical characteristics and her Phoenix powers but doesn't have her mind or memories.

Wasn't that Rachel Summers as Mother Askani? I don't see how the baby could have anything to do with the Summers/Grey families...Could it be a reincarnated Jean Grey/Phoenix?...It's possible...

I think the lady (who happened to be a redhead) delivered Cable to the Mother Askani (Rachel Summers).

I don't remember her being a red head.

I never read those issues BUT I just so happened to buy the whole X-Factor series about a month ago so I was able to go look. I still haven't read the issues but I think her name is "Lunar" and as for her hair...it's a hard call. She could be a redhead or or a brunette. Her hair looks different in different panels. All of the final ones where she is leaving for the future she has red hair. AND I think I remember her being a redhead in the Cyclops and Pheonix mini series where they went to the future and raised Nathan. So...I think she's a redhead.

it was one of those statements taken from an interview during the whole Messiah Complex thing.

Time traveling hurts my head...I wish they would just kill Rachel Grey and Cable like they did with Jean's whole family...That was brutally amazing...Kill everybody related to them and move on...
