Aquaman - 9.5 - I was surprised that this was one of the best books from the reboot, I expected it to be at best somewhere in the middle but Johns and Reis do it again and make me give a fuck about a character that I only liked a little.
I hate to say I told you so, so I'll shout it through cupped hands. I TOLD YOU SO.

| All-Star Western - 10 - I was a bit worried that sending Jonah to Gotham would make this title more about the history of the DCU than about Jonah himself. I'm glad to say that was not the case at all. I thought this was outstanding and the ending has me excited for the next issue.
Batman - 7.5 - Best Batman book of the DCnU that I've read so far, but still nothing spectacular. Also, for someone thats only been active for five years, Batman sure has had a lot of Batmobiles.
Flash - 8 - Solid. Just as fun as the Flash has been lately.
Hawkman - 5 - Meh x infinity.
Red Lanterns - 8 - I was surprised by this one. I'm not sure that it will do well as a series, but as a first issue, I liked this a lot.
Supergirl - 7 - It was ok. Wish more would have happened though.
Superman - 9 - Awesome.
Teen Titans - 6 - A bit of a disappointing follow up to Superboy. Like Thomas, I kept checking to see if that was it. The pacing felt rushed and awkward to me. Kid Flash was the best part and likely the reason I'll keep picking this one up.

| Teen Titans - 5: I totally agree that it felt rushed. I was definitely happy that Lobdell didn't wreck anyone yet, though. I was disappointed that it didn't really go anywhere, I would've liked to have seen some interactions between Superboy and any of the Titans. | |

| I actually didn't care that much for Superman #1. I mean it wasn't bad, and I was interested in the new status quo for Clark and Lois' relationship, but it just didn't do anything for me I guess. | |

i liked it. Perez had the guy who usualy inks for Carlos pacheco do his finishes. mereno did a great job. i was afraid this book was going to be all "perezy" like the avengers he did years ago. he is still a great creator too bad he wont stay on the book. it was announced that he would leave after his first story arc. what i liked about the story was one thing. super hearing. when he listens to Lois and her "friend" talk about him as he walks away all Clark like. when i let my dad read the book he said the same thing i did. what else does he listen in on? | Wow Stormwatch #2 was a hell of a lot better than the first issue. I'm still not liking J'onn being on the team, if they needed a psychic I'd prefer them to use Battalion.

| I totally believe you both. I went to pick it up on Friday and my LCS was completely sold out, which is something that they've supposedly never had happen for a book. | |

It's sold pretty damn fast at the shop I work at too.

| Some thoughts on the New52 books I'm reading.
Batman (awesome book. Best DC book right now) Hawk & Dove (Almost finished. Not as good as I'd hoped.) Flash (thinking of dropping) Superman (I'm giving the new creative team at least 1 storyline to turn things around) Justice League (good read) Static Shock (Almost finished. Reads kinda... weird.) Aquaman (the second best DC book right now imo) Green Lantern (OK. Not as good as it's been in the past) Green Lantern Corps (I love Guy so I'll keep getting it. Plus it's a good read.) Green Lantern: New Guardians (pretty good. I may drop it after the next arc tho.) Red Lanterns (pretty slow but I'm enjoying it)

GO BACK TO THE FORMER DCU! They have no idea what they're doing, from one day to the next, all they see are potential dollar signs......

| Countdown to Reverse Flashpoint and the return of Wally West. Admit defeat. Just do it already. I know they benched him so they could bring him back for it. Until then, I'm not buying any New52 books. | |

| The Daemonites finally launch an all out assault on the Earth which causes all of the Super teams and characters in the New 52 to bind together. Just then, the entirety of the Daemonite force is destroyed by Superboy Prime. Superboy Prime shows up to kill the Earth like he did during Countdown because they're all still "not good enough. You're not even half as good as the last ones!" There's a huge fight and it falls to Power Girl and Huntress to save the world with the help of Wally West who, it turns out, was sucked into the Speed Force after a massive universal rewrite happened. The fight has all of those great things you expect! And then, at the end... Wally becomes the Black Flash and mainlining the Speed Force, sends SBP back to Earth-Prime, and runs all the way back to the point when Zoom caused Flashpoint (which he finds out about from SBP) and murders Zoom in cold blood. Wally, now not even looking faintly like his original self, falls back into the tapestry of the Speed Force and fully adopts the role of Black Flash. As the story ends, he's happy serving this role as his universe already has a Wally West. | |
