Because they've been pretty good with it. The only thing I really wouldn't mind too much was something like the whole "search for Ray Palmer" going to multiple universes thing.



from what I remember, it didn't detract from the actual series or universe whatsoever.

Also wouldn't mind scenarios like the ray palmer one mentioned. Didn't do anything to change the characters, and didn't change the story that took place etc.

yeah background appearances and references are fine, but a Watchmen 2 would be stupid. No matter who wrote it. If they hadn't kept so accurate to the comic for the watchmen movie, I'd be worried that people would beg for a sequel, just like they did for 300, but I wouldn't expect non-comic fans to be super interested.
