The Blackest Night

Any talk or theories about the Blackest night post it here.



So who all thinks that there will only be one Orange Lantern at a time?

This entire forum is pretty much about Blackest Night right now. But no I don't think that there will only be one lantern at a time. I do think that orange will be the most secretive, and probably the hardest to predict. I think that the prophecy is inevitable and that the more the guardians do to prevent the prophecy the closer the prophecy comes to being true. I think there will be a period where no corps exist, and an survivors will have to work on rebuilding the green lanterns.

But if you look at the big splash page of the war of light.

All the Orange Corps "Members" seem to be Constructs.

that last idea is interesting, but I'm not sure DC will want to repeat themselves. They already destroyed the Corps once.

Not necessarily destroy the members but like the extinguishing of the light.

as if only one person can control the light because they don't want to share. That would explain why the orange aura is so much brighter, it's a great theory.

Exactly. If orange is greed why would the person with the ring want to share.

I think there is only one ring bearer at any given time and they make there back ups via constructs.

Well same thing, kinda. The Corps would be disbanded, yes? No Guardians? Again?

yes, in a sense, but I don't I don't the disband will be as long, but I bet for at part of the story arc there will a time of darkness, meaning no corps.

The second time was when Hal Jordan went all apeshit and destroyed the Corps.

The first time was when the Corps. decided to execute Sinestro and it destroyed the Central Power Battery, so the only people left with working rings were Hal and Ch'p.

Both were the end of a particular GL series.

They were disbanded by the Gaurdians after they proved ineffective.

They tried and failed with the Manhunters, so they were forced to disband them and restructure the entire corps from the ground up again.
