This year's list doesn't look so appealing... Maybe a few Marvel titles and the Adam West...maybe the Civil War historic comic preview...but, otherwise, Ima a go "Pete" on this one: "meh!"

There's only a few books I'm interested in. Elric, GL/Flashpoint, maybe The Dark Crystal. Not much else... But the Heroclix Hal Jordan looks cool!

The Dark Crystal/Mouseguard flip is awesome. Original short stories, great art, thick paper...The only neg is that it's a short square book that won't fit in comic bags.

Green Lantern is a big disappointed waste. It's just a reprint of Secret Origins #2. It does have a little teaser of Flashpoint with awesome art by Andy Kubert, but there really isn't anything awesome happening at all.

Elric is pretty awesome. Cover art is awesome, decent sized story, and cool background info on the character and concept sketches. The interior art is nothing great, but it isn't bad either.

I picked up World of Aspen 2011 simply because of the Lady Mechanika preview. The rest is usual Aspen stuff...Still better than GL.

The Criminal Macabre/Baltimore book is pretty cool. I'm not a fan of the art (especially on CM) but I enjoyed everything else.

There was a crapton more books but these were the only books that caught my attention. I almost picked up the Darkness, but it's really a segue between the first videogame and the upcoming second one.

All in all, not a bad FCBD. My LCS had theirs on a rack with a sign that said "choose 4 from each side". I immediately disregarded the sign and started grabbing what I wanted. The owner's flunky was swtanding guard by the rack and attempted to enforce this policy. I gave him my best "bitch, please" face and continued picking books up. Then I paid for a few books that were in my box (AXE Cop #3!!!) and left.

I didn't see the Elric or Adam West Angry

...but I did go to a random comic bk shop and not my lcbs. Will get them later from mine.

I picked up the Spidey, Cap/Thor, Mouse Guard, Hellboy and Super Dinosaur. Also picked up the Hero Clix Green Lantern and, upon closer inspection, was later disappointed that he looked nothing like Ryan Reynolds!

FCBD was huge this year! More ppl & crazy cosplay than I've ever seen. Granted in the past I've only gone to my LCS, where as this year I went to 3 comic shops & 2 book stores (1 of which was just second hand books, no FCBD stuff).

I got a couple of sketch books from Billy Tan, who lives here now. Very cool sketch books, 1 with chicks the other with dudes.

The Dark Crystal book was amazing, makes me want the OGN that's coming out (in 2 parts).

The GL book was a let down, like Leachy said... Why such a big reprint with a very small Flashpoint story??? The Flashpoint story is good, & it's free so... not really complaining about that...

Elric is great, loved the art & the story. Am looking forward to the new series!

The GL Heroclix is cool. They're damn small, tho'.
