seconded Huh?Are we reading the same book? This was a very clever way of re-thinking this franchise thats been around since what, the 1960's? Granted, the "street tactical"gear threw me at first, but with the way things are towards heroes after Civil war,it makes alot of sense. I'll reserve judgment on the whole "triploid" thing, that could go either way. All in all, good job, can't wait for the next one

Sure there's alot of dialogue (which isn't a bad thing) and no action. Neither was Whedon's first issue or so. It at least has an interesting concept, manufacturing mutants, etc. Whedons had.... the cure? Established in issue 2?

but its quite detailed. See, this is why I love you guys. I find kindred spirits among you. On MCB I said Bianchi's art was "decent" but he wouldn't be my first choice, and every single person got upset, claimed I didn't know what I was talking about, and railed about how perfect he was. And I actually do kind of like his work on this issue. Better than his Wolverine run, anyway.

Not to say this one isn't dark either.. but not SOO dark that its almost hard to tell whats going on... or just hindering in general.

I liked the artwork for the most part. Though I did have problems with how high up Storm's tiara was, the street clothes and I think that Wolverine looks plain stupid on the cover. The detail he used on most of his panel work did look very good.
