And how can art be both ugly and good?
All his ppl are really ugly. He's a good artist but I just don't like him at all. I feel a little the same about Frank Quitley. He is very good, but his ppl are all disfigured some how. I can't believe this has spilled over from the "Bad Art(ist)!" thread... I also can't believe, Dan, that you don't like Bag's old art?! WTF?! It's his new stuff that looks more rushed. His ASM from the early to mid 90's was really good...not to mention his New Warriors. | |

I think it's partly the inkers. Randy Emberlin inked ASM for many years and although he's not one of the more popular inkers out there, his inking complimented Bag's pencils very well. In fact, Marvel had them both do the covers for many years as well. E.g.:  | |
