I've only read the first volume of Transmetropolitan. What's Desolation Jones?



Gravel is a middle aged, special forces "combat magician" who's just returned from Afghanistan where he fought as a soldier to England. He was a former member of a mystic detective organization called the "Minor Seven" and seeks to take back his taken slot from the group. He's basically a mix between Nick F'n Fury and Dr. Strange!

The genre I'd say was horror and magic/fantasy. Very graphic and violent. Ellis at his absolute best. The whole first trade takes place in the UK. Two thumbs up!

I had a dream in which Vin Diesel killed Dan(shadowrenderer) and then figga cut his head off...Vin killing him was pure accident and Figga cutting his head off was just weird.

I LOVE Warren Ellis, he's my favorite writer. I wish he'd write Ben Reilly. I have his whole run on THunderbolts, and a lot of his other stuff.

Damn! Title's definitely apropos.

Speaking of espionage, did you ever read Rucka's Queen and Country? The art usually sucks but the writing is very good.

Anybody reading Doktor Sleepless? It's an interesting story but not enough happens issue to issue.

I've picked it up but haven't had the chance to read it. Ellis is just too damned prolific. I can barely keep up with SOME of my other pull list let alone read all his monthly titles.
