Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel #3

I didn't like this one so much, it felt like a filler issue.


Don't get me wrong, its not bad, it just didn't "contribute" much. Also I thought the watcher looked weird.

That's what I was thinking. I seem to remember Mat Broome being a better artist but his faces suck ass.

the art is fucked

the only reason the Watcher's face sucks is because it's too normal looking. The watcher is supposed to be an ugly lookin guy with a stone face. I felt he was affecting the Blue Marvel's thoughts a little more than he should have. Almost as if he was concerned.

this seemed really cliched... I know its hard to keep up the level of awesomeness that was the first issue... but I hope things get better soon... damn it I had such high hopes for this...

You're right, this issue was too much backstory about irrelevant stuff. Lets move on to the good shit.

Seconded. And I didn't care for non-kewpie dollhead Watcher either.

When dealing with race cliche's are gonna happen regardless. This particular issue wasn't that awesome but I would only call it cliche as far as comic books go. You could kind of anticipate the dialogue. I think it's good that this book hits uncomfortable topics. The fact that it's a story about a black hero during civil rights movement is what makes it original and not that cliche at all.
